A Typical Day in the Future of X with Elon Musk
Elon Musk has said that everything will be like WeChat. WeChat is almost ubiquitous in China, but it is basically wishful thinking to think that it will be ubiquitous outside of China. This is for reasons of market share, commercial issues, and ideology.
That’s why Elon himself announced in his interview that he wants half of the world’s financial transactions to be on X.
Food delivery, mobile payments, social networking, voice and video calls, news reading, and communication are all available on WeChat. Twitter is currently launching voice and video calling. It is strengthening news in the Top Articles section, and X Payment is scheduled to start for financial transactions (although Musk has said that it is currently using a service called Stripe).
If you remember, Telegram wanted to launch a currency called Gram. Meta, which was still called Facebook at the time, also turned to Libra and then Diem, both of which wanted to act on blockchain and cryptocurrency (cryptocurrencies). Both encountered legal problems to some extent, or they were abandoned or, like Telegram, given to their brother to do (which is the result and output of such an event).
