Kopuk, is a series that Med Yapım is preparing for FOX Turkiye.
Three people have been prepered for the screenplay: Deniz Karaoğlu, Fuat Mete, and Özden Selim Karadana, to ultimately be made by Koray Kerimoğlu. It also has famous actors: The cast of the series, which will soon air on FOX, includes successful names such as Kaan Yıldırım, Biran Damla Yılmaz, Seray Kaya, Sarp Akkaya, Beren Gökyıldız, Edip Tepeli, Engin Alkan, Kadir Çermik, Melisa Doğu, Sahra Şaş, Mustafa Açılan, Evliya Aykan, Merve Çağıran, Cem Söküt, Atakan Yarımdünya, and Güneş Hayat. What is the theme of the series?
Stealing from the rich to give to the poor. A cliché story. The Turkish Robin Hood! Ferhan steals money from bribers, swindlers, and those who have amassed wealth through corruption and helps the poor youth in his neighborhood.
He provides them with educational opportunities and helps their families as well. Now an unexpected death will turn his life upside down. Now his ideals, dreams, and love are at stake. He realizes he can’t continue just with the name Ferhan, so he takes on another identity called Orhan.
Now Ferhan is in conflict with Mujde’s father who has his eye on her but keeps away from her.
Now Orhan encounters İpek, the heiress of a family trying to take over the neighborhood.
The overall theme of the series is supporting the neighborhood, something like what we saw in The Pit (Çukur).
Perhaps a metaphor for supporting the homeland.
